In a recent interview, Rannvijay Singha discussed his decision to step away from hosting Roadies and Splitsvilla and revealed whether he plans to return to the shows or not.

Rannvijay Singha gained immense popularity after winning the first season of MTV Roadies. Inspired by his success, he ventured into the entertainment industry and became a well-known VJ and host through hard work and dedication. He hosted numerous seasons of Roadies from 2004 to 2021 and also took on the role of a gang leader in some seasons. However, after his long association with the show and the channel, he decided it was time to take a step back from Roadies and his other show, Splitsvilla.

During his conversation with Tellychakkar, Rannvijay Singha explained the reasons behind his departure from MTV after almost 19 years. He expressed that people didn't appreciate him solely as a character but loved him for the person he truly is. Rannvijay acknowledged how the demand for content has shifted from traditional channels to online platforms (OTT) and expressed his desire to be available to the youth on OTT platforms. He stated, "I have been associated with MTV for a long time. Now, it's time for a change."

When asked if he would consider returning to Roadies or Splitsvilla, Rannvijay shared, "Why not? There are no burnt bridges. However, as a person with two kids and a large following, I want to do something different. Hosting Roadies or Splitsvilla wouldn't be extraordinary news anymore. It doesn't reflect the progress in my career or add a new achievement."

Rannvijay expressed his desire to feel unstoppable and have the self-confidence to pursue various endeavors. He considers himself blessed and privileged to have the opportunity to explore new avenues. Although there may be risks involved, he strongly believes that his new ventures will ultimately succeed.

In his professional journey, Rannvijay has been involved in various television programs, such as In Real Love, Mismatched, City of Dream Season 2, and Shark Tank India, among many others.
