Amazon Prime Video announces a new show called ‘Rainbow Rishta’ releasing on November 7th, featuring Dr. Trinetra Gummaraju.

Amazon released the poster of a new show called ‘ Rainbow Rishta: Love out Loud”, a docu-series on love stories and the deep intricacies of attraction in the LGBTQIA+ community. The show stars Trinetra Gummaraju, recently seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Made in Heaven S2. Coming out on November 7th (pun intended), the 6 episode series features queer love stories from around India and pans the journey of self-actualisation amongst the LGBTQ Community.

The six-part docuseries is directed by Jaydeep Sarkar and is Amazon’s second collaboration with VICE media productions. The show takes inspiration from real-life stories of Trinetra, Daniella Mendoca, Sanam Chaudhary, Soham Sengupta, Suresh Ramdas, Aneez Saikia, Sadam Hanjabam and Aishwarya Ayushmaan- a drag performer and lawyer.

Trinetra is a famous Instagram Influencer advocating for trans rights and shares her mental struggles. Made in Heaven season 2 is her first acting venture which was released in August this year. Playing the role of Meher, a transwoman, Trinetra acted effortlessly and garnered amazing responses from the audience as well as the LGBTQ community. Made in Heaven also featured acclaimed actors like Shobita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Mona Singh and Vijay Raaz. This is her second project with Amazon Prime Video.
