In an Instagram post, Komal shared a heartfelt post with her audience where she dedicated her awards to her fans, followers, and supporters. Here’s what Komal wrote on Instagram:

“Just 2 days ago I was awarded as one of the 35 most influential young Indians. Thank you @gqindia, it’s an absolute honour to be a part of this list.

To the 1.9M of you on Instagram and 1.3M of you on YouTube- there won’t be any influence in my work without you guys. It won’t be worth it without you guys. And the best part? I will never ever take it for granted.

So I went.. I went and accepted this on behalf of you guys.

Every win, every accolade, and every moment of my dream that I live is dedicated to you all. I can't thank you enough for adding the "K" to the "Komal." “Soon after getting her commerce degree, Pandey seemed a little lost about what to do next. That’s when she had her first encounter with interpreting outfits, morphing and styling them in myriad ways, then making short videos behind her former college’s canteen. What happened next was an explosion in interest in her content, with her social following growing to nearly 2 million. Pandey’s fashion is accessible. Her videos show you that finely cut couture isn’t the only way to be theatrical or grand.

One of her videos, in which she styled a simple white shirt in half a dozen ways, went viral primarily because even though “clothes are supposed to be worn a certain way, there is much more to them”. Pandey’s content acknowledges the wide-ranging possibilities of fashion, of being creatively stylish with even the most basic wardrobe.”
