In an unexpected turn of events, Pooja Bhatt, who was initially supposed to be a panelist on Bigg Boss OTT 2, joined the show as a contestant. In a recent episode, the actress-director openly shared her journey of battling addiction and recovering from alcoholism at the age of 44.

During a conversation with fellow contestant Cyrus Broacha, who also struggled with alcohol addiction and quit drinking at the age of 46, Pooja expressed her desire, to be honest about her struggles and recovery. She acknowledged that her openness about addiction had faced criticism from many.

Pooja revealed, "I realized that I had a problem with drinking. That's why I openly talked about my addiction and my decision to quit drinking. In our society, addiction, and recovery are usually associated with men. Men are encouraged to openly talk about their battles with alcohol and recovery. But women are discouraged from even admitting to drinking problems, which means their recovery remains hidden. I used to drink openly, so when I decided to recover from alcoholism, I realized I shouldn't do it in secret."

She also stressed that she didn't want to hide anything from the public and proudly referred to herself as a "recovering alcoholic" instead of just being labeled as an alcoholic.

In the same episode, tensions arose between Cyrus Broacha and Puneet Superstar over toilet cleaning duties, leading to other housemates supporting Puneet's eviction when asked by Bigg Boss.

Meanwhile, there seemed to be a romantic connection between Manisha Rani and international model Jad Hadid. Manisha kissed him and professed, "I love you to the moon and back." Jad reciprocated by expressing his feelings for her. Could they potentially become the first couple on Bigg Boss OTT 2?
